First Regional SDG Summit in Kazakhstan

On November 15-16, the First Regional Summit on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the theme “Mobilization of financial resources for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals” was held in Almaty. The high-level officials from government agencies, business community, and civil society, as well as senior representatives from international organizations and financial institutions have an opportunity to discuss financial aspects of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries. The panelists shared  the key opportunities and challenges for achieving the SDGs through collective actions and regional endeavors, and the role regional cooperation platforms in supporting this process going forward.
