The conference within the framework of the Dushanbe Water Process was held in Tajikistan on June 6-9, 2022 to develop a common vision for advancing the water sector agenda at the global level and prepare for the UN-Water Conference to implement the goals of the Decade of Action in 2023 in New York. The multi-stakeholder conference brought together various stakeholders involved in the implementation of the goals and targets outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Paris Agreement on Climate, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, and other programs aimed at sustainable development.
The Blue Peace Central Asia Initiative was presented at various Thematic and Interactive Panels within the main program of the Conference, as well as at the Thematic Forums preceding the Conference by experts and the BPCA team. The initiative's approaches to quality, accessibility, and predictive capabilities were presented in the Panel Session on Climate Change in Central Asia on June 6. Evidence-based solutions, tools, and innovative learning approaches implemented by BPCA were presented on the same day in the Panel Session on Regional Cooperation for Knowledge Enhancement, Education, and Communication. As part of the thematic panel on transboundary cooperation for economic growth and sustainability on June 7, BPCA's experience in promoting informed water dialogue in the region was presented. On June 8, the experience and results of the initiative were also reflected in the preparation of an interactive panel session on promoting integration at all levels.
BPCA team also participated in the Marathon and cultural events of the Conference. In addition, the Blue Peace Central Asia initiative was presented at the Swiss pavilion as part of the International Exhibition "Water for Sustainable Development" held during the 2nd International Conference.
